KURT MANKE Obituary

KURT MANKE Kurt Alan Manke passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025 in Little Rock, AR. Kurt was the younger son of Leonard Leroy and Carolyn Manke, born on May 19, 1966 in Kiowa County, KS. Kurt's only sibling, older brother, Dale Leonard Manke, preceded him in death in November 2021. Kurt sold his portion of the Manke family farm in Bucklin and moved to Perry County, AR with his wife Anne Mayrath Manke in 2018. After Dale's death, Kurt chose to sell the remaining acres of the Manke farm along with almost all the farm equipment. The Manke farm was originally purchased and worked by Kurt's grandparents, and later his parents. Kurt and Dale operated other businesses while also working on the family farm for most of their lives. Kurt and brother Dale are remembered by many life long friends, neighbors and business associates. Kurt lived at the Manke family farm for his entire life until he moved to AR to own and operate a tree farm. Kurt enjoyed keeping in touch with and sometimes returning to KS to visit with his KS friends after he relocated. Kurt loved his property in AR and enjoyed a quiet yet productive retirement there. He made many new friends in AR. Kurt and Anne had no children, but Kurt loved their faithful dogs as some do their children. Kurt will be buried, according to his wishes, in the Manke family cemetery located on his AR property. Kurt is survived by his wife Anne, cousins Devin Manke and his sister Lynae Manke Reith and their spouses and children, and by his aunt Carol Manke, Devin and Lynae's mother.

Such a beautiful soul. When I left my last job, I was sad at the thought that I might not get to see him again. My condolences to his family.
He is with his brother again.
-Until we meet again, my dear friend.
