Dear Faye,
It was a pleasant surprise each time we saw the ‘Bruners’ in Slocomb. You and Donny always greeted us with big smiles and no hint of sadness, therefore, we had no idea he was sick. Both of you looked happy and healthy.
After reading the obituary I understand why. Donny knew he would have the sweet sleep the bible speaks of, and awake to a glorified body, with no more pain. Praise the Lord!
Jeremiah 31:25-26 (KJV) For I have satiated [satisfied] the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.
One day we will see Donny again, and what a wonderful day that will be. In the meantime, let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Donny was such a fine man and always a gentleman to everyone during our years at Cottonwood High School. You could certainly depend on him when there was a need. This type of man will surely be missed and my prayers and thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

Fay, we are sorry to hear of your loss. We loved Donny, and enjoyed fellowship with him at Calvary. We were out of town this weekend visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Hattiesburg, MS. We were unable to come to the services, but you were in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you.

Rest in Peace, my Dear Friend:
I will always remember our great times at Cottonwood High School. You were the best at whatever we did, a true and loyal friend to all and will be missed
by all who knew you. My prayer is that God will Bless and comfort your family
left behind. You are in His presence this morning and we will all meet again
one day. Goodbye, my friend.
