Eugene Preskitt Obituary

Eugene William Preskitt, Sr., age 92, passed away on June 29, 2018 in Dothan, AL, where he had resided since 2007. He was born in Cherokee County, AL, was a veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was self-employed as a construction contractor for many years and retired from International Paper Co. Graveside Service: 1 PM, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Morris-Kimberely Cemetery in Morris, AL. He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene W. Preskitt, Jr.; his parents, Sidney O. and Evie Preskitt; sister, Lorene Johnson; and brother, Sidney Preskitt. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Gail Crowder Preskitt; sons, James Howard (Johnnie Lou) Preskitt and Lowell Crowder Preskitt, both of Enterprise, AL; brother, Bobby (Linda) Preskitt, Biringham, AL; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tammy Preston, Dothan, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. Gail and the Family wish to thank all at this time of sorrow. Special thanks to his doctors, the nurses and staff at The Terrace at Grove Park, and Covenant Care for their care. We appreciate the impressive recognition of his military service, and the lasting remembrance of the Releasing of the Doves.
