Hazel Wise Hazel Wise, 83, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Lindsey and Larry Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 pm until service time. Mrs. Wise was born October 20, 1930 in Hacoda, Alabama and lived the early years of her life there. She married her late husband, Willis Wise in 1948 and they owned and operated Wise Furniture Company, Wise Equipment Company and Wise Shopping Center. They resided at White Oak in Lake Eufaula for thirty-six years before moving back to Dothan. Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her husband Willis Wise and a son, Jerry Wise. Survivors include, her son, Larry (Joan) Wise; her daughter-in-law, Linda Wise; four grandchildren, Chad (Valarie) Wise, Shane (Bethany) Wise, Casey Wise and Jennifer (Spencer) Stephens; 9 great-grandchild-ren; her twin brother, Waylon (Virginia) Martin; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ruben and Juanita Chandler; several nieces and nephews.
