Lenore Case

Lenore Case, 92, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a quiet pillar of service to her family, church, and community.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Pastor Craig Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Lenore was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Warren- a marriage marked by faith, love, and steadfast partnership. She is survived by her son, Chris (Molly), and her cherished granddaughter, Shelby, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Affectionately known throughout the Army Aviation community as "The Patch Lady," Lenore was a familiar and comforting presence at Fort Rucker for decades. She collected unit patches personally given to her by soldiers passing through the installation, preserving the stories and service of thousands of men and women in uniform. Her unique legacy was recognized nationally in Army Times, which profiled her for her meaningful contributions to military life and morale.

A woman of deep faith, Lenore faithfully served the Methodist Church for most of her lifetime. She led children's programs, directed the church choir for many years, and devoted herself to nurturing both spiritual growth and community connection.
