Henry Scott Obituary

Henry Randall Scott

Henry Randall Scott, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with the Lord, Friday January 29, 2021. He was 92. He was the beloved husband of, and is survived by Sally Scott, his wife of over 35 years. He was born in Autauga County to Joseph Henry and Jennie Barber Scott.

Randall was a retired banker where he held a long distinguished career working as an executive for First National Bank in Montgomery. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He returned to Alabama and later served as a senior auditor for the Alabama State Banking Department, where he retired in 1994. He was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and member of the Seniors Sunday School class.

For the past five years, Randall and Sally have been residents at Westside Terrace, where they shared a room, their meals and treasured their time together.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Geneva, Inez, and Lois.

He is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn (Leo) Shaia and Vicki (Steve) Harris; two grandsons, Captain Curt (Kylie) Harris (USAF) and Hunter (Lindsay) Harris; and two great grandchildren, EleNoir and Henry Harris.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of life will be held to honor his life at a later time when it is safe for all of his loved ones to be together. The family will have a private graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with the Reverend Bob Sanders officiating.

I was sorry to hear of Uncle Randall's passing. It had been a couple of years since we last saw him and Aunt Sally at the nursing home. He was blessed to live a long and happy life, made happier by his sweet wife. Sending our love to Aunt Sally. My husband and I would like to attend the celebration of life when that becomes possible. I know my siblings would also. Prayers for peace and comfort to all of you.
