The Hon. Hugh Herring has been a figure in Geneva for many, many years. If there is a Geneva in Heaven, he'd fit right in. If not, he would more than likely create one!

May God richly bless Geneva, and I will keep the Hugh Herring family and Geneva in my prayers.

Having recently moved to Geneva in November 08, I knew Mr. Herring to be our neighbor. My own beloved father passed in 2007 so I know grief may take about a year, but the love of a wonderful father and husband will forever live on in your heart. Our sympathies to wife Dora and son Steve.

I really feel your loss. My mother died on Feb 6th. Its a difficult time and I can tell you from my own experience that God will eventually give you peace. My friends Wells, Gary, Leah and I loved playing music for Hugh and the river rats. We will miss Hugh and all the fun times we had rolling on the river from Geneva, Black Water Creek all the way to Ft. Walden Beach. I want to say Im sorry to the family and let you know I will be praying for God to bring you comfort in a most difficult time.. Hugh was my commodore, my banker, my mayor, my audience, and most of all my friend.
