Jeremy Lee Thompson

Jeremy Lee Thompson of Hartford, Alabama formerly of Geneva passed away Saturday May 21, 2022 at the age of 34.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Thorne and Bro. Johnny Trim officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and last until service time on Thursday. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Thompson was a member of the 2006 Geneva High School graduating class and a member of the Geneva Panther football team. He was affectionately known as "Burger".

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Curtis and Leila Thorne, W.B. "Doc" and Bernice Thompson, and Karla (Ned) Smith; his grandfather, Cecil Thompson and great uncle, Bill Thompson.

He is survived by his parents, Shawn and Jeff Schmidt, his biological father, Johnny Mayse, children Zoi and Rylen Thompson, sister, Tiffany (Jacob) Smith, nieces, Ava and Alexa Creech; grandmother, Verlon Thompson, and Uncle Rick (Sue Ellen) Thompson. He is also survived by a host of great- aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Serving as Pallbearers are his cousins, Josh and Matthew Thompson, Tyler Poole, Christopher Robinson, Julian Ammons, and T.J. Doran.
