Not sure what to say?

I met mr. Joe at Winn Dixie. He was hired on part time to stock groceries over night. At first, we didn't think hed last a week cause he looked like he could barely walk and had these big thick glasses.

Over time hed prove to be consistent and reliable. What I didn't know at the time was he was working a full time job during the day and eventually earned full time status at our store.

After a few years we became close and he would admit he was working 80 hours a week because he didn't want his wife to worry. I could tell he was hurting though

One night, I finally asked him.. joe how are you doing this?

He told me. "Russell, to be honest. I ask god for help every day."

All these years later that has stuck with me. No matter what my situation is, whatever the current end of the world may be...I think about that old man that fought to take one step after another.

I hope some one in his family someday sees this and understands what a special, important person mr. Joe was.

Joe was my oldest brother. I miss him so much. Im happy to know that he had so many friends and yes Joe was always a sweet easy going guy. Hed give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He came to my rescue many times! I have terrific memories of our childhood. I know he is with our mom, dad, brother and now my son in heaven with our Lord. Thank you Joe for being you. Also thank you to all his wonderful friends.

I never worked with Joe. But my husband worked with him for 10.5 years. I think every time I called out there the first thing he would always say was " Tracy did you lock your keys in the car again." We would just laugh. He was a special person to my husband & I. He will be missed.

Joe was a wonderful Step-Dad. He treated my brother, sisters, and me as if we were his own. Was always the first to volunteer to help any of us with a problem. Loved my Mom, Bonnie dearly.
I'm sorry my boys, Brad and Tyler will never get to know you as I have. But, I am thankful my wife Joanne got to become buddies with you in the past year. You will be sorely missed in this family
