Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 30, at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Scarbrough and Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mrs. Rabon was born March 20, 1944, in Houston County and lived in Dothan most of her life. She was employed as a nurse in the Urology Unit of Southeast Alabama Medical Center for ten years prior to her medical retirement in 2000. Mrs. Rabon was a member of the Berean Baptist Church for 30 years and Webb Baptist Church for the past 10 years. She was a kind, compassionate and loving nurse, Mom, Granny, Aunt and Friend who will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Rabon is predeceased by her parents, Earl and Gladys Ivey; a precious granddaughter, Heather Michelle May; brothers, Feldon Ivey, James Ray Ivey and Mickey Clyde Ivey.
Survivors include her husband, David Rabon of Webb; her children, Donna and Jackie May of Webb, Tommy and Genon Glover of Dothan; grandchildren, Brad and Jonathan Adams of Webb, Katie May of Webb and Jocee Glover of Dothan; a great-grandson, Logan Adams of Webb; brothers and sisters, Jean and John Stone, Sue and Marvett Shirley, Ronnie and Carol Ivey, Irene and Donnie Adams, Penny Flowers and Randy Ivey, all of Dothan; several nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive.
