Lawrence was a friend of mine. The entire Spence family were friends of mine and my brother. Lawrence was a great guy and so easy to get along with. I had lost track of Lawrence and always wondered where he were God Bless you and yours.

It's hard to share my feelings at a time such as this. There aren't words to describe the wonerful person my dear Uncle Larry was, a true southern gentleman.
I really got to know him the time we spent together in Iran along with my Aunt Hopie, cousins: Doane, Colleen, Shaw and Helen. What a privelge to share part of my life with all of them. The world was a better place because of Uncle Larry, you will be missed by all. Love you always!!!!!

I can still remember visiting with my parents when I was young. I thought the world of Larry. He was a funny, wonderful man with a heart of gold and I along with my parents(Linda & Robert) will miss him dearly.

A sad day in all our lives as we say our fair well to "Dear Larry". He was a dear husband, a great father, granddad, brother, runcle,and the best ever brother-in-law. My thought and prayers are with JoAnn, Doane, Colleen, Shaw and Helen. He will be missed. Love, Shirley Mower

My deepest sympathy to Larry's family. Larry and I worked together in Iran and at Fort Rucker. His wonderful family is a legacy that he leaves to make us all better for having known him and them.

I became a friend of Lawrence's after he came out of the Navy and moved to Florida his little brother was a close friend and Lawrence soon became a friend. God Bless Lawrence's family as I am a better person from having knowed him.

My prayers and sympathy go to the family of Lawrence Spencer - though I never met him I did attend school with Sallie, Dot, Bill and Mack in Melbourne, FL. Dot and I have been close via e-mail for the last few years and I know how much she loves her brother and sisters and how dear all of you are to each other. God's Blessings and Peace to all. Uncle Lawrence is larger than life in my memory to this day. A world traveler and adventure, storyteller extraordinaire and a dedicated and loving family man; he was more than kind to me and was always there for our family and the world is a little darker without the light he brought to it.

I have fond memories of memories of Uncle Larry. He never meet a stranger. He was always willing to help his fellow man. We are to love one another, as Christ loves us. Uncle Larry did that every day of his life. The earth has lost a good men, and heaven has gained one. We will miss you, but I know we will see each other again one day. I love you! I sit here thinking..Just how does one express the feeling of a loss, A loss so great to each of us. The loss of a great man, A man whom without ever thinking twice was there to help in the time of need. The loss of a man whom when he spoke everyone listened. A man who helped so many with arms wide open, a true southern gentlemen. This man that I speak of, I am proud & have been truly honored to call my Uncle Larry. Larry and I became friends while he was employed at General Electric and from that friendship I have so many fond memories of great times with Larry, Hope, and the kids. I'll miss him terribly, but I will never forget what a truly great friend he was. Rest in peace my friend.

I will always remember our Uncle Lawrence as a larger than life, handsome, smiling, story telling, sweet-hearted man. I wasn't around him often but was influenced by him and know that he will live on in my cousins... his wonderful children and grandchildren. Larry will be missed by me and Sue along with members of our family that met him. We have been friends for 38 years. We worked together in Iran for 6 of those years and in good and bad times, he was a loyal colleague, friend, and companion. What precious memories we have.
