Mark Edwin Hebb was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on April 25, 1947 and died on March 16, 2016. He was the oldest son of Edwin and Letha Hebb. Most of his childhood was spent in Marianna, FL where he graduated from Marianna High School. He served in the Marines during the Viet Nam War and afterward graduated from Chipola College and earned a degree in forestry from the University of Georgia. He worked as the District Manager for the Florida Division of Forestry in Lakeland for 27 years. In retirement, he volunteered many years for Covenant Hospice and Florida Caverns along with other organizations. Mark will be remembered for his gift of helping others and his great love of nature. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Lee Hebb, and his brother, Stephen. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his children, Cheryl Combes, Celeste (Ryan) Lindell, Phillip (Jade) Hebb, and Melanie (Kurt) Petersen. Also, his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cassidy and Sydney Lindell, Brooke and Liam Petersen, and Olivia and Ava Hebb, as well as his sister Julie (Jim) Zimmerman, and sister-in-law, Terri Hebb. A memorial service will be held on April 9th in Marianna, at Florida Caverns State Park, Hickory Pavilion, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Florida Caverns, 3345 Caverns Rd. Marianna, FL 32446, for a memorial project in Mark's name.
