Mary Cawthon Obituary

Mrs. Mary Edith Bludsworth Cawthon of County Road 446 in Elba passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007. She was 58.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, in New Life Baptist Church in Kinston with the Rev. James Hataway officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 2 p.m. to service time.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to New Life Baptist Church, c/o Janet Donaldson, 222 County Road 446, Elba, AL 36323.

Mrs. Cawthon was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Geneva County to the late Elmer Edgar and Annie Lee Donaldson Bludsworth. She was employed with Coffee Baking Company for a number of years. Mary was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, one brother, Charles Bludsworth, as well as two sisters, Joann Bowman and Diane Williams, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Henon Cawthon, of Ino; three daughters, Sherry Barnes (Danny), Tammy Louise Kelley, all of Opp, Melanie Tinajero (Jovi) of Ino; four grandchildren: Hunner Barnes of Opp, Brooke and Ashley Sims of Ino, Jade Kelley of Opp; two sisters, Doris Blickenstaff, Elaine Hataway (James), all of Ino; three brothers, William Bludsworth of Samson, Sammy Bludsworth (Stella) of Ino, Billy Bludsworth (Jenny) of Amarillo, Texas; several special nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
