Paul Douglas Phillips of Clayhatchee, AL passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was 65. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Daleville with his nephew, Anthony Bell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until service time. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Paul was the owner of Paul's Paint and Body Shop in Daleville, AL for over 30 years. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hilda Phillips; brother, Joe Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Anita Phillips, Clayhatchee, AL; 3 daughters, Kimberly Phillips (Steve), Newton, AL, Sherrye Ottenbaker (Keith), Daleville, AL, Krystal Engle, Oahu, HI; 4 sons, Paul Douglas Phillips, Jr. (Chelsey), Pinckard, AL, Philip Bridges (Shannon), Cullman, AL, Kody Smith (Katelynn), Clayhatchee, AL, Kyle Smith (Tina), Port Richie, FL; sister, Robyn Ann Gilbert Caplin, Dothan, AL; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
