Rhone Parrish Obituary
Dr. William Rhone Parrish passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at his home from aggressive Alzheimer's disease. He was 74 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Memory Hill Cemetery with Mr. Clay Parrish and Dr. Ted Williams officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m., on Sunday prior to service time.
Rhone graduated from Dothan High School in 1967, Auburn University in 1971 and UAB Dental School in 1975. He returned home to Dothan and joined the family dental practice with Dr. W.T. Parrish and Dr. Tyrone Parrish. In 2020, he retired after 45 years of practice.
Rhone was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. W.T. and Zona Hines Parrish.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Seaborn Parrish; his daughters, Ashley (Rich) Hamrick, Katie (Bradley) Wilder, and Lauren Parrish; grandsons, Charlie and Wilson Hamrick; brother, Clay (Allyson) Parrish; sisters, Malissa (Ted) Williams, and LaNelle (Joe) Smith.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rich Hamrick, Bradley Wilder, Stan Jones, Russ Parrish, Parrish Smith, and Daniel White.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Original Fish Golf Group.
A special thanks to Susan's LUNCH GROUP, Rhone's caretakers, Pam Cook and Ricky Lee as well as Kristen and Lynn from DaySpring Hospice.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church "Respite Care Program," 1380 W. Main Street, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
