THOMAS CALVIN CASADAY

Thomas Calvin Casaday Thomas Calvin (Tom) Casaday of Enterprise, passed away, Friday, May 21, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 85. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Greenhill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to: Green Hill Presbyterian Church, 735 E. Lee Street, Enterprise, AL 36330. Mr. Casaday was a World War II Veteran. He served with the Auburn County Extension Service for 37 years with 30 years in Coffee County. He worked with Century 21 Real Estate for 15 years. He was an active member of the Lions Club, an Elder in Greenhill Presbyterian Church, past president of United Way and active member of Pea River Historical Society. He was well known for his farming advice columns through local newspapers. He was a 1949 graduate of Auburn University. Preceding Mr. Casaday in death were his parents, Clifton Floyd , Sr. and Gussie Davis Casaday, two sisters, Mary Anna Casaday and Ella Hearn, two brothers, Clifton Floyd Casaday, Jr. and Gerald Casaday. Surviving are his wife, Dot Casaday, Enterprise; two sons, Tom Jr. Casaday, Pensacola, FL, Warren Cas-aday, Atlanta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and many close friends.
