My father was truly an amazing person, from his young family life as been sharecroppers to becoming a USAF Medic. Serving in a special operations group called the road runners .During the Vietnam War, some of their missions were secret search and rescue, saving lives and many he did even being willing to give his own doing so. One of his medals he received I remember he was awarded five times with insignia attached hence meaning three times each altogether fifteen. He installed in many virtues. So many precious memories. Cutting up on the phone and a lot of serious talks to revealing ourselves to each other. No one else will ever comprehend. So much unconditional love and understanding we shared, He was more than just my father, my comrade or brother in arms. He was even awarded the honorary rank of LT.Colonel.So for now I pray the rest of my family will know what an amazing man he truly was , I know he´s in Heaven with our lord. Remember your precious memories of him and cherish them forever as well. So for now all I can say is precious memories UNTIL ONE FINE DAY
WHEN THEY CARRY ME AWAY WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY IT SHALL BE WHEN WE ARE ONCE AGAIN REUNITED WITH THE LORD, and as Dad would say Absolutely!

My Dad was a wonderful and amazing man. He touched a lot of peoples lives, during the career he had in the military. He supported his father and country . Not knowing at times if would ever make it home alive. We had an amazing relationship during the last 3 years until he was hospitalized. I talked to him almost every day. We would cut up and tease each other sometimes and be very serious when he wanted to just talk about anything. He loved all of his children, and my mother. I remember some things when I was a child camping fishing hunting and road trips and so much more. I will always love and miss him ver very much more than anyone can ever imagine we had an unconditional love and understanding. I was so proud of him, and became so much like him in many ways because of the same kind of experience in life. During the Vietnam War my father was part of a special operations group called the roadrunners and they did a lot of great things for this country. He had one medal that always stood out to me, later on in life. I found out he had been awarded that same medal five times with some kind of an attachment that meant three times each meaning fifteen. The operations group at that time conducted more secret missions than most people will ever know. Some of those missions were search and rescue, and he was a USAF MEDIC , hence earning those awards willing to pay the ultimate cost to save others and many he did. He had some hard core values that I came to inherit in my own life. Sometimes in the military not being able to talk to family or anyone other than the people I served with. The military is not an easy life and sometimes the sacrifices people make to serve are very challenging. To me he was more than just a father, my comrade and my brother in arms. All those precious memories we shared and had. In his death, I know he was released of the bondage of this world, and went to be with the Lord, Precious memories is all I have left of him for now. UNTIL ONE FINE DAY WHEN THEY CARRY ME AWAY , WHAT A REJOICING IT WILL BE!
I will always think of you dad, love you and miss you and I will always have the virtues you instilled in my heart. Having you as a father was more than just an honor it was a reward and the best is yet to come until one fine day and as you would say absolutely!
