William Paramore Obituary

Mr. William Noah "Bill" Paramore, of Ariton, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 84.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, from Ariton United Methodist Church with the Revs. Greg Brown and Anita Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Universalist Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. today. His body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Monday.
Mr. Paramore was born Feb. 25, 1924 in Ariton to the late Minnie Mae Wynn Paramore and Willie Alexander Paramore. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict until his retirement. He left high school and headed for the beaches in Normandy, France and was there on D-Day. Following his military service, he worked with civil service at Fort Rucker in the fire department. In addition to his parents, Mr. Paramore was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Rebecca Parrish Paramore.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ken Paramore, Steve and Tammy Paramore all of Ariton; one sister, Mary Vic Paramore of Ariton.
Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
