Richard Buntain Obituary

Richard Maston Buntain, 67, of Amelia Courthouse, Virginia, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington.
An Anderson County native, he was born April 14, 1947, to Louise Searcy Buntain of Shelbyville, and the late Bert Buntain. He was a member of Jetersville Baptist Church, worked in Human Resources for UPS Freight, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a 1965 graduate of Shelby County High School.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy Jo Likins Buntain of Amelia Courthouse, Virginia; two daughters, Laura (Paul) Stallings of Amelia Courthouse, and Kristin (Jonathan) Billy of Cornelius, North Carolina; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Buntain and Bertram (Kim) Buntain, Jr.; and a sister, Janie (Steve) Bowen, all of Lawrenceburg; and grandchildren, Allison, Riley and Elaina Stallings, all of Amelia Courthouse, and Jett Billy of Cornelius.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Estella Ann and Joyce Delores Buntain.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Kevin Buntain officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
Casketbearers will be Robert and Bertram Buntain, Jonathan Billy, Wilmond Ashby, Tommy Reece and William Cecil Goodlett.
