Barabra J. Contente

Barbara J. Contente, 83, of Westwood Road, passed away on September 4, 2024, at the Dawn Hill Home. She was the wife of the late Ilidio P. Contente.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel C. and Louise (Pacheco) Barboza. She is survived by: her sons Leo (Sandra) Contente of Bristol, Paul Contente of Bristol, Alfred (Susan) Contente of Bristol, and Steven (Kristen) Contente of Bristol; grandchildren Mitchell Contente, Reid Contente, Michael Contente, Nicole Contente, Alaina Contente, Levi Contente, and Matthew Contente; and great-grandson Cooper Contente.

She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Accino.

Mrs. Contente was a 1959 graduate of Colt Memorial High School. She worked for numerous preschools as a preschool teacher. She was known as Mrs. B. Mrs. Contente was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's church.

Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband Leo. She loved her family and did everything she could to be a part of it with her husband for many, many years. She will be missed.

Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 10 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday, 4 – 7 PM.
