Kermeth Dessert

Kermeth C. Dessert, 81, of Westport, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at home surrounded by family. He was the husband of the late Margaret M. "Peg" Dessert.

Mr. Dessert was born in Fall River, son of the late Roland J. and Delia (Silvia) Dessert and had been a longtime resident of Westport. He was trained in Toledo, OH as a meat cutter and worked for various area supermarkets over the years. He and Peg also owned and operated the former Ellie's Place, Westport. His family meant everything to him.

Survivors include his children: Deborah Mize of Fargo, ND, Diane Pace and her husband Mike of Venice, FL, Dawn Dessert of Taunton, Kermeth C. Dessert and his wife Nadine of Somerset and Erika Deschenes and her husband Rene of Tiverton; his brother: Wayne Dessert and his wife Mary Ann of Rehoboth; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Brian Crete and brother of the late Roland R. "Bobby" Dessert and Theresa Bagnall.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to longtime caregiver Jen Dias of Dartmouth for the compassionate care she gave to their father.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home, Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30-11 A.M. prior to the service.

Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
