Antonio "Tony" R. Galindo passed away peacefully at his Tracy home on January 14, 2017 following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 45 years old.
Born in Oakland on June 8, 1971, Tony was a graduate of St. Joseph Norte Dame in Alameda. He began his professional career with Safeway and diligently worked to become one of the night crew managers in Oakland before transferring to Emeryville. He enjoyed working on cars, attending Raider games and car shows, building puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends. Tony was a devoted husband and father who took great pride in his family. He will be deeply missed.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife and best friends of 23 years, Olga Galindo of Tracy; children, Lorenzo Galindo and Alexis Galindo; mother, Ofelia Maldonado; siblings, Yolanda Rodriguez, Lizette Maldonado and Paulina Maldonado; in laws, Luciano & Alice Neves; god children, Alfredo Rodriguez, Briana Jimenez and Marciano Neves; many loving extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Angel Martinez.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Leander's Catholic Church, 550 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. The vigil service begins at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Friday, January 20, 2017, also at the church. Burial will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward.
