To David's beloved family and his beloved sweetheart Mary. It was easy to see how much he loved all of you.
I relocated from Seattle to California in 1996 and met Mary in 1997 and consider Mary to be one of my best friends. I have spent many years enjoying Mary and David. David was always so smiley and friendly.
One tender moment I will never forget is when Mary and David came to dinner. He showed up in his fireman's clothes because he knew my 4 year old grandson would be present. Well, what a hit David made with James. They sat at James tiny table and chairs and played with play dough. I know it is a memory James and I will always remember.
We are so sorry for the family and Mary for their loss. He will be greatly missed and it will take a long time to heal our hearts.
Love, Lynn and family

My deepest sympathies to David's family. I did not know him personally, but I was running in the park that day when I happened upon David and his son. I helped his son give CPR until the medics arrived. Reading the obituary and the messages others have left in this guestbook has given me a picture of the amazing man David was. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am interested in contributing to the memorial table/bench if someone would contact me, when you are ready of course. Again, my deepest sympathies.

My Uncle Dave was quite the man. From young age, I always enjoyed going to Hagberg Mountain on many family weekends. The individual hot tubs, the rope swing, the dune buggy rides, bbq's, badminton, chaos, laughter and hours of fun for us as kids and I know the adults enjoyed themselves too. As I grew up every time I saw him, he always has this glowing infectious smile and sweet heartfelt look in his eyes. And he would greet me with the best hug! He will be greatly missed, and I am so sorry that I cannot be with the family tomorrow. Please know that all of you, especially Tom, Shelley, Theresa, and Mary, are in my thoughts and prayers. I feel so blessed to have such an amazingly fun, energetic, compassionate Uncle in my life. He will always be in my heart, and his spirit will live on through all of us.

David was a very kind, decent and generous man. Our world is a poorer place without him. He will be missed.

To The family and friends of Dave Hagberg,
Although we did not know Dave personally, we wish to extend our warmest sympathies.
My boyfriend and I were present that day in the park and did our best to provide help and comfort. It was a profoundly moving experience and one thet will stay with us throughout our lives. Reading these testimonies gives me a sense of peace and creates a picture of the man that Dave was, full of humanity, kindness, curiosity and engagement in life, and love of nature; the kind of man I would be honored to have as a friend.
Please accept our condolences.
With Respect,
Theresa Hughes and David Farish

I didn't know David, but I know his brother Denny and his family. I know what a great loss it is to their family. May God bless them and comfort them with the knowledge that their brother and uncle is in a better place. Our prayers are with you.

DAVE HAGBERG was my father-in-law and friend. As I think about all the people that I know and have known, I can say that I have never known anyone like him.
He was such a hard-working man, but he ALWAYS found time to spend time with family, friends, or even to warmly greet a stranger.
I admired his many personal qualities and knew he was man of great character and class. Most important, he was also always a kind and thoughtful person. He would also bring happiness and laughter to his friends with his effervescent personality.
Dave really loved life, and he loved his family and friends.
Dave I will miss you so much.

Dave was a friend of long standing. Jim and I spent many fun filled camp-outs at Hagberg's Mountain, houseboating on Lake Shasta, RV-ing at the coast, cruising in the Caribbean, and just plain having fun at his home in Sebastapol. Apparently his mission here is ended and God needed him elsewhere. Theresa, Shelley, Tom, Denny, Janet, and extended family, you are all in my prayers. David....you will be missed.
