Diane Burke Obituary

Diane Fernandes Burke September 9, 1932 - April 28, 2013 Resident of San Leandro Diane passed very peacefully in her home on April 28, 2013, with loving family at her side. Diane was married to Robert ( Bobbie) Burke, whom preceded her in death in 1987. Sadly, she was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Ronald (Ron) Burke in 2008. Surviving is her loving devoted daughter, Cynde Burke Krause, and her three amazing adult children, Crystal and husband Del Crawford, along with their three sons, Ethan, Raymond, and baby Gage. And Loving grandsons- Robert and Ron Krause. Diane got a big kick out of affectionately being named "GG" (Great Grandma) by her adorable great grandson, Gage David Crawford. Diane also leaves behind her adored son, Michael T. Burke and wife Connie Enberg Burke, along with beloved grandson, Adam M. Burke. Surviving is Diane's loving sister, Constance (Connie) Polvorosa, and family including daughter, Tambria and Partner Brooke, and their very special son, Jordan Turco. and son, Danny. Polvorosa. Diane also leaves behind, her caring brother, Louis (Butch) Amaral, and wife Linda along with their adult children; Mary Anne, Robert, and Joey Amaral, each having their own beautiful families. Diane attended Hayward High School, and was fortunate to have shared, a life long friendship with her dearest friend of 65 years, Annie Scanlon Morrone. Diane had excellent taste and had a flair for fashion! Whether clothing, home interior, QVC fashion jewelry, the latest hair or make-up products, planting or decorating her large back yard and gardens, etc.... Diane also had that gift of knowing exactly what would be flattering on any particular body style type, dressing them and ALWAYS.... had one looking like a million! Diane enjoyed her gardening. Puttering outside in the dirt was her sanctuary, and she did an amazing job with all of her various flower gardens, plants, and trees. Orchids were her very favorite and she traveled the Bay Area to find the rarest types. Her other love of eight years, was her cat. "Sweetie-Pie"....we are all missing you, Mom! My heartfelt appreciation going out to Moms Physician of many years: Dr. Mary Hong (Kaiser-Union City) She loved and trusted you very much- Also, my sincere appreciation going out to our hospice team: Claudia, Charon, and Charles. The expertise that you shared with me, aided in the comfort that eased Moms agonizing pain! By request, no services will be held.

Diane: Even though there was 12 years between us I always looked up to you & Bob, You reminded me of Liz Taylor and even looked like her even in your older years.
I'm glad you got to talk to Annie before you passed and that she told you how I felt about you passing first, life is not fair. Now you are in heaven with Bob, Mom & Dad and Auntie Annie & Uncle Zie, I almost forgot Snowball (she's waited a long time to be with you again) and the rest of the family.
Happy Mother's Day
Rest In Peace Sis

Mom...it hasn't been easy but you knew it wouldn't be! I miss you very very much. Mike and I are on the same page so things are easier now. I am sorry for how stupid things got. I guess we all grieve in our own ways. "Sweetie-Pie" was confused and depressed but she is really beginning to come around to this different life of new people and animals around her. Lucy dog is here from Missouri too! Please Rest in Peace, Mom....With all my heart, and then some...I love you, Cynde
