Dwayne West Obituary

Dwayne West was born to Mae & Archie West in Lampasas Texas. Family relocated to Richmond California when he was a young man. After attending Richmond High School, he enlisted in the Army as a lineman. He served in Korea while stationed in Fort Bragg North Carolina where he met his future wife, Lynda Estep resident of Charlotte North Carolina. They both returned to California and began their lives together. Dwayne worked for PacBell for a time, eventually turning his interest and career to construction, where he was a proud Union Carpenter for over 40 years when he retired. He is survived by his wife, Lynda West and 2 adult children, his son Christopher D West Sr., spouse Rachelle West and daughter Elayna G Coss, spouse Kevin Coss Sr. With a combined total of 7 grandkids, Kortny Coss, Kevin Coss Jr., Christopher West jr., Shyanne West, Jessie West, Justin West, Cody West. He will always be remembered as a peaceful, caring, kind, father, husband, Papa and a friend to all!

Our prayers and thoughts are with the West family. I worked at Rancho Elementary and my son Arthur and daughter Tina Hernandez was classmates. Lynda I´m so sorry for your loss, it hurts but I know you have many wonderful memories to hold in your heats. God Bless all of you..

Even when Dwayne was a teenager, he had time to help me, his younger cousin assemble my first model car. He was that leader. I miss him.
