Edith Marcus Obituary

EDITH MARCUS 51-year resident of San Leandro, CA, passed away at her home at age 92 on December 26, 2006. Edith was born in Chicago, IL and traveled at the tender age of 17 alone to Oakland, CA to care for her 2 year old niece, Inez Ann. She eventually met and married her husband, Harry, of San Francisco and they made their permanent home in San Leandro, CA. Edith is survived by her children, Sandra, Donna and Steven; her niece, Inez Ann of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Reuben of Chicago, IL and numerous other nieces and nephews. Edith was a much loved woman and devoted her entire life to her husband of 46 years, her children and her home. The Marcus family wishes to thank the entire staff of Vitas Hospice for their wonderful care of Edith and their extraordinary support to the family. Edit was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Harry, on December 29, 2006 in Oakland, CA.

Sandy, Donna and Steven, So sorry your parents are gone, I still remember, the the good time when we were kids, at 42nd & Emerald. While Colleen Poppett was alive, she would always want to go by your folks when she would come to visit me. Keep the faith!
