I only met him once, but heard many good things about him. He was a hard-working man who cared deeply for his family.

Dear Family;
I am deeply saddened to read of Joe's passing in today's paper and send you my heartfelt sympathy.
About 15 years ago, Bob McIvor of Mission San Jose passed joe's phone number to us and we had a wonderful reunion luncheon at my brother , James Meagher's home in Pleasant Hill..We figured it had been 60 years since we had seen one another as children..What fun remembering the happy times we had visiting our grandmother's (Teresa Whitfield) ranch in Mission San Jose...and played with the Goto twins...My brother, Jim,and the twins,would find so much to explore and be mischievious! I was little sister and always thought their big sister Miyoko was so beautiful!
That was a special day in Pleasnt Hill and I thank God for those precious moments...Jim left us about 6 years ago, but please God, we will all be together again in Heaven...
