Lois Tusher Obituary

LOIS KLARMANN TUSHER 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2006. Born on October 25, 1922 in San Leandro, Ca. Lois, was the youngest of three daughters to Fred and Stephana Klarmann. Lois was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. She graduated from high school at age 16, and graduated from San Jose State. Lois then joined Oakland Public School District as both a teacher and a counselor for over 40 years until she retired. Lois enjoyed reading and luncheons with friends in her book club. Her love of German Shepherd dogs, led her to donate one of her cars to the German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California, so that a special dog received a hip operation. Lois is preceded in death by George K. Tusher, her only son Kurt, granddaughter Michelle, and her two older sisters June Hurley of Pescadero, Ca and Ruth Mountford of Ruskin, Fl. Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to share a memorial celebration of her life to be held at Corpus Christi Church, 322 Saint James Drive, Oakland 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California.
