Michael Theodore Osborne

Michael Theodore Osborne Nov. 5, 1962~March 15, 2009 Resident of San Ramon Michael passed away on March 15, 2009 at San Ramon Regional Hospital. He was 46 years old. Mike was one of five children born to Ray and Marlene Osborne in Alameda on November 5, 1962. The family made their home in Hayward until 1969 when they moved to Pleasanton. In his teen years Mike developed a fondness for cars and motorcycles, and started friendships that lasted to the end of his short yet full life. After graduating from Foothill High School, he started a career in the family business at Superior Tube and Tube Bending in Hayward. He later started his own specialty pipe fabrication business in Dublin with the help of his ex-wife Lenaye. They owned and managed the business for 14 years. Mike enjoyed sturgeon fishing, golf, hot rods, car shows (especially Billet Proof) and playing tournaments at Crown Billiards. He was also a Harley Davidson rider and enthusiast, and loyal Oakland Raider fan. His specialty was barbecuing and cooking scrumptious meals. Recently he took his first trip abroad to Italy with his girlfriend Sherri and her family. Michael was passionate about being involved in his sons' lives with loving guidance and raising them to be responsible young men. He served as a coach in San Ramon Little League Baseball for six years. He regularly took his sons to sporting events, trout fishing and snowboarding. Michael was the beloved son of Ray and step mother Tina Osborne, devoted father to Andrew and Daniel Osborne; brother of Kim Osborne and brother-in-law Richard Tenwolde of WA; Lisa Braun; Scott and sister-in-law Doreen. He is also survived by his aunt Carolyn and uncle Lou, nieces Natalie and Jessica, nephews Kyle, Anthony, Aram and Mason, loving cousins, his girlfriend Sherri Ferrara and many adoring friends. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Marlene Osborne and sister Valerie Silvius. Services were held Friday, and burial was held Saturday at Santa Cruz Memorial Park, 1927 Ocean St., Santa Cruz (831) 426-1601. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to the American Heart Association.
