Mildred Joy Brugman

MILDRED JOY BRUGMAN passed away on September 1, 2001. Millie was born on March 16, 1944, to Dagmar Henri Brundy and David Newton Brundy in Las Vegas, Nevada. She had many fond memories of growing up in Las Vegas and rural Utah. She graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and worked twenty years for Reynolds Electric and Engineering Co, a prime contractor to the Nevada Test Suite. On November 20, 1982 she married Vaughn Paul Brugman. To this union came two children, Matthew Vaughn, born November 26, 1986, and Elizabeth Joy, born January 31, 1989. Millie retired from Reynolds to become a full time loving Mother and Devoted Wife in 1987. The family moved from Las Vegas to Livermore, California, in 1991. Millie was a tireless volunteer at St. Michaels School where the children attended. She relished day trips and camping trips taken with the family. She was a person of great faith. Preceeding her in death were her parents and two brothers David and George. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and two children, brothers Neal & Dixie Brundy of Las Vegas, Charles and Helen Brundy of Idaho, and Don Brundy. Father-in-law Don Brugman of Green Valley, AZ, Brother and Sister in law Don and Majorie of Homer, Alaska; Brother and Sister-in-law and best friend Ralph and Arlyne Reccia of Orange, CA; and Brother and Sister in law Glenn and Joy Brugman of Oolagah, Oklahoma. Nieces, Nephews and many more relatives and friends will be left with very fond memories of our Millie. Mass will be celebrated on Wed., Sept. 5, 10 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church, 458 Maple Street, Livermore, CA. Aain mass will be celebrated on Thurs., Sept. 6, 10 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 South Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV. Burial will follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens 6200 S.
