Resident of Pittsburg
Vincent Salvatore "7 UP" DiMaggio, 85, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sports. Most of all baseball which he excelled in his younger years.
Vincent is survived by his wife Peggy DiMaggio, children: Dennis DiMaggio (Sandra), Denise Stoddard (Joe), Vincent DiMaggio Jr., (Brenda), Sally Baltazar, Kathryn Buccellato (Anthony), and Jacqualyn Gregory. 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Alveretta "Babe" Machado, parents Salvatore "Lefty" and Frances Davi DiMaggio.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00am at the Delta Hawaii Clubhouse. Contributions can be made the Veterans Affairs 150 Muir Rd., Martinez, Ca 94553.

I want to offer my sincere condolences on the loss of Vince. He will always be remembered as 'Cuzz' in my younger days. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I'm very sorry for your loss. This may seem odd, but did he have a boat named "Babe?" If so, I believe he and my father used to fish together on the Delta, and I have a photograph of them. If you would like me to send a copy to you, please let me know your email address.
