(August 20, 1951 - February 6, 2014)
 Joe Marez, 62, of Clovis, NM died Thursday, February 6, 2014, at his home in Clovis. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be by the US Navy Honor Guard.
Joe was born August 20, 1951, to Liberato and Eloida (Saiz) Marez in Fort Sumner, NM. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He married Rose Martinez June 24, 1972, in Clovis, NM. Joe was retired and worked previously at Walmart as the Night Receiving Manager and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and American Legion Post 25. He loved listening to music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Joe cared for his mother until her death. His grandchildren will always remember him taking them fishing and telling them the stories of his time in the service and younger years.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rose Marez of the home; a son, Eddie (Sophia) Marez of Clovis, NM; a daughter, Katherine (Nathan) Sandoval of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Dora (Albert) Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister-in-law, Josie Marez of Clovis, NM; nine grandchildren, Jayden Garcia of El Paso, TX, Xavier Marez, Jacob Marez, Joshua Marez, Matthew Marez, Angelique Marez of Clovis, NM, Nicholas Saenz of Portales, NM, Nathan Sandoval Jr., and Brooklynn Sandoval of Tucson, AZ; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, and ten God-children. He was preceded in death by his father Liberato Marez; mother, Eloida Sandoval; step-father, Joe I. "Pepe" Sandoval, and two brothers, Freddie Marez and Ricky Sandoval.

I am sorry for your loss. I remember Joe, Rose, Eddie and Katharine growing up on Gamma St. Joe would come down when I was little and help Daddy with little things from time to time. Joe would always tell Daddy when they saw one another if you need anything let me know and I will do what I can.
Prayers are with you Rose, Eddie and Katharine.
