Memorial services for David Gene Morgan, 73, of Muldrow, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Morgan was born on Jan. 9, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., to William Henry and Melba Morgan. He died on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Muldrow.
He was a 1969 graduate of Muldrow High School, had many businesses over the years and coached Little League for many years. He was also a former mayor of Muldrow from 1992-98.
Survivors are wife, Phyllis Morgan of the home; one daughter, Charrel Lenaburg and Kendall of Catoosa; three sons, William Morgan of Tahlequah, Coy Morgan and Julianne of Plano, Texas, and Jordan Morgan of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Ogdon, Gloria Wildrick, Gayla Hall and Helen Redden, all of Muldrow; four brothers, Jerry Morgan of Glenpool, Wayne Morgan of Muldrow, Steve Morgan of Muldrow and Tracey Morgan of Sallisaw; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lucille Roye and Shirley Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any youth oriented group in his name.
