Funeral services for Thomas W. Modlin, 90, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Modlin was born on Dec. 19, 1934, in Parsons, Kan. He died on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, camping and boat rides. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Sallisaw.
Survivors include four daughters, Cathy Baze of Owasso, Shirley Baze, Pam Baze and Tammy Baze all of Sallisaw; two sons, Michael Baze and Tommy Baze both of Kansas; several grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Margaret Modlin; and two sons, Billy Joe and Jeffrey Baze.
Pallbearers were Tonya Kelley, Don Garrett, Cana Hall, Jim Dotson Larry Gragg and Patrick Hanson.
