Joseph Henry Brown

Joseph Henry Brown, 80, of Monticello, FL passed at home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, at Memorial M.B. Church, with burial in Hickory Hill Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850-997-5553). A Perry native, Joseph graduated from Jerkins High School, Suwanee Junior College and Florida A&M University where he was a Mathematics Education major. He was a 30 year+ Middle School Math Teacher at Madison Middle School. A dedicated teacher and devoted Christian, Joseph was a longtime member of Monticello Church of God of Prophecy where he was active in Sunday School. He loved fishing in his leisure time. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nesbit Brown; children: Joseph Brown, Jr, Elizabeth B. (Willie) Patterson, Jennifer Brown, Adreaunna B. (Joseph) Nelson, Zachary Trice, Ganetta Patterson and Christopher Hanie; several grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Ruth) Brown and Eddie (Edwenia) Brown; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
