Robert Reese Obituary

GARDEN CITY - Robert Amos Reese Sr., 94, passed away at his residence Tuesday, Oct.18, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Robert was born in Chicago on Oct. 12, 1928, to Leslie Clyde and Frances Lessie Reese, and lived in Garden City for many years. He was a member of Guyton Christian Church and a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.
In his free time, he could often be found outside in his workshop listening to the radio and organizing his future projects. Robert also enjoyed reading, taking photos and working on home improvement projects. Above all, spending time with his family brought him the greatest joy.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Leslie Clyde and Frances Lessie Reese; brothers, Curtis Reese and Jimmy Reese; sister, Evelyn Rieck; and son-in-law, Wyndell Palmer. Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Geraldine Reese; son, Bobby Reese (Marcia) of Grayson; daughter, Elaine Palmer of Guyton; grandchildren, Alex Reese (Heidi) of Atlanta; great-grandson, Pasha Reese of Atlanta; brother, Terry Reese (Maggie) of Pembroke; sisters in law, Judy Reese of Rincon and Jeanette Dewitt of Winder; caregiver, Cookie Jammison of Springfield; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was conducted Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, in the chapel of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Guyton Christian Church, P.O. Box 5, Guyton, Ga. 31312.
