Carole Mannisto Obituary

Cherished and extremely loved ~ Died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 3rd 2024. There will never be another person like her. She was loved by everyone she touched, with her kind heart and true spirit of love. She was a light that shone for others. Her genuine personality and generosity spoke volumes. She has joined her husband of 66 years, John Marvin Mannisto, in heaven, along with many wonderful family and friends. She will be missed more than words can express by her children: Shelly Gray (Larry), Brenda Schwartz (Bryan), Tamra Claiborne (Michael) and Craig Mannisto (Terry, preceded to heaven). Missed by her ten favorite grandchildren (each one "knows" that they're Grammas favorite), and their spouses. Her 17 affectionate great-grandchildren will miss her dearly. She is also survived and loved by her brother Greg Holmgren (Sue), sister Char Nix (Lynn), their families, and many family and friends across the United States. Carole is truly loved, her radiance will be missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 noon on April 20th at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 8701 Elk Grove Florin Rd. Elk Grove, Ca. 95624. Followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at Brenda's home. Flowers may be brought to the church, or in lieu of flowers Carole would like donations to be made to: The Pine River Historical Society Museum PO Box 84, Tustin, Michigan 49688.
