"Bert"

David "Bert" Allen Yates, 47, of Genoa died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. He was born April 3, 1959 in DeKalb the son of Herbert and Mary (Cook) Yates. He married Jannette "Jan" Marie Wilson on September 7, 1977 in El Paso, Texas. He worked at Chicago Rawhide in Elgin for thirteen years.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Yates of Genoa; one son, Jeremy Allen (Amy) Yates of Loves Park; one daughter, Nicole Marie (Eric Klassen) Yates; parents, Herbert and Mary Yates of Metropolis; four grandchildren, Jacob Allen Yates of Loves Park, Cassidy Lynn Klassen, Kendall Marie Klassen, Kayla Elizabeth Klassen all of Genoa; one brother, Gary (Linda) Yates of Lake in the Hills; two nephews, Michael David Yates, Timothy Lindstrom Yates both of Lake in the Hills.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established in care of Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., Genoa, IL 60135. Information: 815-784-2518 or www.quiram.com
