Timothy Huske Obituary

Huske, Timothy James Was born in Elgin, IL on January 16, 1976 to James and Laurie (Sheppard) Huske. He passed away December 15 in Chicago, IL. He attended Washington Grade School, Larkin High School, and Northern Illinois University. While Tim's life on this earth was short, he packed it full of interesting experiences, which he relished. He had a passion for the Arts, politics and was a voracious reader. He loved nature, and was happiest when he could be hiking and exploring. His family enjoyed his quirky sense of humor, his artwork, and his "movie ratings", and admired his courage and tenacity when life was very difficult for him. Tim's passing leaves a big void in his large family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Ruth Huske and Bob and Marian Sheppard, Uncle Jerry Huske, Aunts Sue (Huske) O'Leary and Joan Prell. Tim is survived by his parents, of Elgin, his sisters Molly (Josh) Holbrook of St. Charles, Emma Huske of Idaho, nephew and niece, Herman and Olive, loving girlfriend Terryn (of Chicago), who cherished all the treasures in him, Uncles and Aunts, Mike and Linda Sheppard (Wisconsin), Diane Sheppard (St. Charles), Jim and Verna Sheppard (Wisconsin) Brian and Jolene Sheppard (Wisconsin) Kim Kline (Barrington), Paul and Janice Sheppard (Kingston) Dot Case (Malta), Kate and Bill Ross (Genoa) and John and Karina Sheppard (Elgin), as well as 19 cousins. Tim also enjoyed the long-term and supportive friendships of Michelle B. and Raja H., and knew how lucky he was to have them in his life. "Deep Peace" Irish Blessing. Deep peace I breathe into you. Oh weariness here, O ache, here! Deep peace, a soft white dove to you; Deep peace, a quiet rain to you; Deep peace, an ebbing wave to you! Deep peace, pure white of the moon to you; Deep peace, pure green of the grass to you; Deep peace, pure brown of the living earth to you; Deep peace, pure gray of the dew to you; Deep peace, pure blue of the sky to you! Deep peace of the running wave to you, Deep peace of the flowing air to you, Deep peace of the quiet Earth to you, Deep peace of the Flock of Stars to You. Deep Peace of the Son of Peace to You. Deep peace, Deep Peace. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 4-8 P.M at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services 51 Center St. Elgin IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Tim's name to: NAMI Kane County North (National Alliance on Mental Illness), P.O. Box 1094, Dundee Illinois, 60118 or Ecker Mental Health Center, 1845 Grandstand Place, Elgin, IL. 60123. For Funeral information 847-742-2100 or lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com.

Tim was one of my first and best friends when I started at Washington in the 4th grade. He and I shared many adventures and spent countless hours together throughout the years until we grew apart in High School. I will always cherish the memories that I have and regret not having made more. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family.

My memories of Tim are from Abbott Middle School. I hadn't known anyone at the school in 7th grade, but quickly became friends with Tim. So much so, every day before school started in 8th grade I would go to Tim's house in the morning and then walk one whole block to school together. Rest in Peace my fellow Warrior!
