Joy Hartfiel Obituary

Joy, age 70, of Otsego passed away at her home on December 12, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Kowaliuk; sister, Bonnie (Al) Aigner; brother-in-law, Gary Brown.

Joy is survived by her husband, Richard; son, John (Tammy) Ford; grandchildren, Devon and Kaitlyn Ford; many beloved great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie Brown; extended family and friends.

Joy took great pride in the 12 years she worked as a shift lead in the deli at Walmart in Elk River. She loved the outdoors, from her green thumb that could grow anything, to the countless adventures on hunting and fishing trips with the love of her life, Richard, and the treasured times spent with family up North at the cabin.

A Celebration of Joy's life will be from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
