Krista Anne McCormick (Carlson), age 54, formerly of Zimmerman, MN, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Krista was born in Arlington Heights, IL, to Jack Carlson and Betty Westin (Pinkham). A woman of strong faith, Krista lived her life with a heart for service and a passion for sharing the love and Good News of Jesus Christ. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief in God touched countless lives.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Jack Harris and Heather (Tyler) Hansen; her brother, Erik (Jennifer) Carlson; her stepfather, Patrick Westin; her cherished dog, Georgia; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends she considered family.
Krista was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Carlson and Betty Westin.
There will be two Celebrations of Life to allow friends and family in both Minnesota and Illinois the opportunity to gather and remember Krista:
Illinois Celebration of Life held Saturday, September 13, 2025, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Service: 4:00 PM, The Chapel, 25270 W. Route 60, Grayslake, IL 60030.
Minnesota Celebration of Life held Saturday, September 27, 2025, Visitation: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Service: 11:00 AM, Freshwaters United Methodist Church, 112 7th Ave., Princeton, MN 55371.
Krista's legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
