Cassandra Renee Vaughn Peters, 46, of New Paris, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 7, 1977, in Greenwood, Mississippi.
On June 15, 2019, she married Jason Peters in Middlebury.
He survives along with her parents, Bobby and Carolyn (Chapman) Vaughn of Greenwood, Mississippi; a daughter, Emma Abigail Bowling, at home; three step-children, Hunter Thomas Randal Bowling, Wakarusa, and Kayden Phillip Peters and Ryann Elizabeth Peters, both of Edwardsburg, Michigan; and a brother, Scott Alan Vaughn of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
A member of 1st Brethren Church, New Paris, Cassandra enjoyed spending time with family, especially her daughter, and reading books. She worked as a safety manager for Bennett Truck Transport.
Visitation and a Celebration of Life service were held Monday, Dec. 18, at Grace Community Church, 20076 C.R. 36, Goshen. Pastor Jeff Estep officiated.
Memorial donations may be given to Little Pink Houses of Hope, 2442 Tribek Court, Burlington, NC 27215.
