Charmayne "Cheri" Bryan Linton LaPierre, 90, of Coatesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her home on July 17, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana to her mother Frances Kuhn Bryan. Preceding her death was her first husband Charles Damon Linton, Jr., to whom she was married for 11 years, and Charles Frederick LaPierre to whom she was married for 47 years.
She is survived by her brother, Norman Bryan (Linda) of Naples, Florida, her children: Mark Linton (Karen) of White Lake, Michigan; Laura Linton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Brian Linton (Lori) of Thornton, Colorado and Chas LaPierre (Amy) of Coatesville, Indiana. She is survived by six grandchildren: Bryan Linton, Jennifer Linton, Stephanie Minoletti, Megan Woloshin, Audrey Carney and Chloe Hotze as well as nine great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Cheri had a spirit of perseverance about her. She navigated life's many hardships with poise and practicality. She was a loving friend and loyal confidant to many, as witnessed by her 90th birthday this past March where family and friends celebrated her.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as her morning cup of coffee and a bite of chocolate after dinner. Her mind remained sharp and she enjoyed the challenge of competition whether in the form of Scrabble, Dominos, Five Crowns or Euchre. Much of her life was spent lakeside – 25 years summering on Birch Lake in Michigan and the remaining 20 years of her life residing at Heritage Lake in Indiana.
