Daryl Spidel Wade, 68, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1952, in Elkhart to George and Mary Grace Wade. Daryl married Carol Hay on June 18, 1987; she preceded him in death on April 13, 2021.
Daryl worked in a warehouse/ logistics; he enjoyed watching drag racing and going on drives in the country with his wife. He also enjoyed listening to the Beatles and classic rock. He truly loved spending time with his family and friends. Daryl is survived his children, Shawn Jordan of White Settlement, Texas, Brian (Billie) Wade of Fort Worth, Texas. And Joshua Wade of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren Jacob Moore, Peyton Moore, Jedidiah Walker, Evelyn Wade, Jeremy Jordan and Jennifer Allsup; sister Marabeth (Donald) Muhlnickel of Middlebury and brother Tom (Sandy) Wade of Bedford, Texas; and sister-in-law Shirley Fitzgerald of Tangent, Oregon. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brent Barkman.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Violett Cemetery in Goshen. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Wade family. Online condolences may be made to the Wade family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com.
