Ervin Schwartz Obituary
Ervin M. Schwartz, 78, passed away on Sept. 21, 2021, at home of natural causes.
He was born on March 26, 1943, in Nappanee, Indiana, to Milo and Edna (Chupp) Schwartz. On May 10, 1973, he married Carol Sue Miller in Nappanee.
Mr. Schwartz was a retired carpenter and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Ervin is survived by his wife, Carol, along with six children: Kathy (Merle) Chupp, Etna Green, Ricky (Lori) Schwartz, Michael (Pauline) Schwartz, both of Bremen, Wayne (Mary Jo) Schwartz, Nappanee; Jason (Vera) Schwartz, Warsaw, and John Dale (Dorothy) Schwartz, Nappanee; 31 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Allen (Mary Ellen) Schwartz, Milford; Lavern (Carolyn) Schwartz, Nappanee; Jerry (Betty) Schwartz, Shipshewana; Earl (Marietta) Schwartz, Nappanee; and four sisters, Ruby, Wilma, Nancy Schwartz, all of Nappanee, and Linda (David) Miller, Bremen. He is proceeded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary, Alma and Carolyn Schwartz; and two granddaughters, Julia and Martha Chupp.
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, and all day Thursday, Sept. 23, at the family residence, 12173 N 1000 W, Nappanee. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 24, at 9:30 a.m., also at the family residence, with Home Ministries of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Burial will be at Weldy Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
