Herbert Welsch Obituary

Herbert Samual Welsch, 89, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Oct. 17, 2023.

He was born May 10, 1934, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Ernest and Barbara Welsch. He married Carol (LaBelle) Welsch on Sept. 5, 1954, in Elkhart.

She survives along with one daughter, Cathy (Carlos) Vargas of Big Pine Key, Florida; one son, Greg (Debbie) Welsch of Montrose, Colorado; four grandchildren, Scott Hansing (Ashley), Brock Hansing, Heidi (Welsch) Harper and Aaron Tague (Sarah); five great-grandchildren, Hop Harper Jr, Dayton Harper, Jasmin Harper, Riley Tague and Molly Tague; and three great-great-grandchildren, Hope Harper, Layla Harper and Rylee Harper. He is also survived by one brother, Kurt Welsch (Judy). A sister, Hildegard Nickler, and brother, Ernest Welsch (Ruth), preceded him in death.

Memorials may be given in Herbert's name to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
