Janice M. Reaves, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at her home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1941, in Villa Rica, Georgia, to Roy and Nora (Newell) Chandler.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Reaves, Mesa, Arizona, and Jason (Alicia) Reaves, Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Steve Sailor, Elkhart; and siblings, Gail (Eo) Bretherick, Brenda Story, Dean Harvey and Newell (Marco) Chandler, all of Georgia.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleabern Reaves, a daughter, Glenda Sailor, and grandson, Scott Sailor.
Mrs. Reaves was a hard worker. She worked on the assembly line at Plant City for 20 years, and most recently at Ascot Enterprises, where she retired.
A former attendee of Willowdell Church of Christ, Elkhart, she enjoyed spending time with family. Janice was a gifted florist, seamstress, and created beautiful works of embroidery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, prior to a 1 p.m. funeral service.
Burial will follow at Olive West Cemetery, Elkhart.
