Lonnie Daniel Weaver, age 79, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Pauline Weaver; father and stepmother, William Daniel Weaver, Jr. and Betty Weaver.
He is survived by his wife, Matilda Weaver; son, Shane Weaver (Jennifer); daughters, Doreen Ford (Daramy), Erica Johnson (Dean), and Sandra Livesay; grandchildren, Lennon Weaver, Daniel Waters, Meagan Stewart (Brandon), Skylar Garriott, Makayla Garriott, Haley Waters, Amanda Stymacks, Addison Hughes, and Karon Duke; seven great grandchildren; brother, Morris Weaver (Cindy); sister, Gail Weaver; and several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
Lonnie was a proud United States Navy and Air Force Veteran. He dedicated 25 years of his life as a nursing assistant at the VA. Following his retirement, he continued to serve the community as a crossing guard for the Sherrif’s Department for another 10 years. Lonnie found joy in quiet mornings fishing, sharing laughter over video games, cheering on his Florida Gators, and spending every chance he had with his beloved family.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 20, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

So many fun times to remember from way back when; fishing, of course, playing frisbee golf, shooting off fireworks, skinning catfish, and just hanging out at the park. Loving thoughts to all his family and friends. "A brother like no other."
