Mitchell Lee DeArmond, of Elkhart, Indiana, entered into eternal life on June 24, 2025, surrounded by his beloved children. He was 76.
Mitchell was born Sept. 24, 1948, to the late Lloyd DeArmond and Marjorie Gehring in Elkhart. Mitchell graduated from Roseville High School in Roseville, California, in 1967.

Mitchell met the love of his life, Heidi (Lehner), and they were united in marriage on Oct. 17, 1981, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart. Heidi preceded him in death after 39 years of marriage.
Following his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the country with Heidi and spending time with their family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer Kodner (Mark Goldberg) of San Francisco, California; Ashley DeArmond (Adam Nolan) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Zachary (Courtney) DeArmond of Waukesha, Wisconsin. He is also survived by his three granddaughters: Sadie Kodner, Layla Nolan and Penelope Nolan.

Mitch and Heidi were dear friends for decades. Many great memories spent together. He had the greatest laugh and was a kind and genuine man. To say we are heartbroken doesn´t even come close. We find peace knowing he is with Heidi once again and I´m sure in some great adventure. Rest easy dear friend.

I first met Mitch when he first came to Elkhart as I had done business with Heidi's family. Mitch was the kind of person that gain your respect at your 1st meeting and never lost that respect and friendship with him
