My sympathy to Geneele and family. Phil made a difference in many students lives over the years and for that I am grateful for them and myself.

What great luck it was to have been guided by someone so special and complete. He was our sensai - the best teacher I ever had. Over the years the memories conjured by the mention of his name always rekindled smiles and admiration. On a May afternoon in 1971, his judgement changed the course of my life. His passing is sad. I see there is a suggestion to plant a tree in his memory. He already planted a forest of saplings and we grew straight and strong. Thank you.

From high school through college he was my best educator. I have used the skills he taught us my whole life. Rest well my teacher, I´m saddened at your passing, but joyful that I knew you. Class of 71 EHS
